Teal blue & Charm

Yesterday turned out to be quite hectic with a few places to be including a birthday, but is was very lovely though. So instead of my usual links on Friday I'm giving you them this Saturday. Accompanied by some gorgeous teal blue and charming inspiration. This living room, with it's soft colors, beautiful contemporary furniture and classical woodwork and walls is a great example of what style I love most.
If you're looking to see more beautiful interior inspirations go visit Daily Dream Decor (she has a great fashion blog as well).
Another link brings you to moodboard, a beautiful blog filled with streetstyle, catwalk or personal fashion and a little less decor. Wish you a happy weekend!

Stylish Blogger Award

Recently I was awarded the Stylish blogger Award by Ada, from Classiq. Hereby I want to give her a big thank you! Her blog is of great consistent quality, existing of timeless beauty, inspiring movies and moving words. Receiving this award means you have to share 7 things about yourself and pass the award on to 10 other bloggers. As I love making moodboards and it had been a while since I made one, I decided to spent some time in Photoshop to tell and show you a few personal things.
Since there are so many great, inspiring blogs I follow it was a tough choice to choose only 10 bloggers I'd like to pass the award on to. So not without great respect to the unmentioned ones, find below a random list of praiseworthy, wonderful ladies and their blogs of which I'm certain you'll enjoy:

Ada | Classiq
Lisa | LatteLisa
Maria | Eclecchic
Deanna | Mellow Fever
Cherisse | Framing Spaces

Curly Raquel

Sometimes it happens that I'm totally struck by one or more captures. Yesterday I had one of those moments. A recent discovery of mine, LenoreNeverMore (a fabulous, inspirational blog with great eye-candy and owner of the most adorable pugs <3), posted two of these images from an editorial with Raquel Zimmermann that Mario Sorrenti shot for Vogue Italia March 2011. I just couldn't not make a post of this. Raquel is such a beautiful woman, but I also think it's the hard white light and shadows that caught my attention. We've been trying to replicate a few black and white portraits in the studio last two weeks in my photography course, so I'm very primed to such portraits now. These honestly are the best inspiration! P.s. I'm swooning over those bouncy curls as well...

Spring fashion 2011 wishlist continued with Lover

Despite the tons of colorful inspirations that are keeping my mind busy lately I have a big love for naturals as well. I was so pleased when the 'nude' trend came along a few years back and luckily it has maintained. Last week I came across the beautiful, feminine SS 2011 lookbook from Lover. These outfits go straight on to my Spring fashion wishlist. They are so gorgeous and sophisticated. I LOVE the soft, sheer, shiny and delicate fabrics, the bows, the black Mary Jane like pumps and the ever so classic ballet buns (minus the plucks of hair in front of the ears). Fabulous! Do you love it as much as I do?

Love for eye catchers

Good morning! What have you been up to this weekend? I was lucky enough to get my wish for sun and singing birds fulfilled last Saturday and it looks like we're going to get a bit more of that this week. Yes:)! And if there may fall a few raindrops it wouldn't be so bad when people would look like the girl with the colored jacket and see-through umbrella, right? In fact, I wouldn't mind at all to see more colorful eye catchers, either on me (preferably in the Jil Sander skirts that model Liya Kebede is wearing here), someone else or anywhere I go. Tell me, how big is your love for eye catchers?

January Jones as Grace Kelly

Not only does January Jones looks utterly stylish and beautiful as her 60'ies character Betty Draper in (my favorite show) Mad Men, she also easily and graciously transforms into a Grace Kelly. Today I found this glamorous shoot for Oprah's magazine by which I was immediately captivated. She looks timeless! The talented photographer behind these gorgeous shots is Todd Marshard. You can get a little sneak peek behind the scenes with a few photo's on Oprah's site.
Well, with this beauty I'm wishing you a great weekend. Hopefully the sun comes out, the temperature rises and the birds sing louder. And when it'll be a relaxing weekend inside do take a look at these Friday blog recommendations: a super gorgeous Spanish design blog: Traviesa Diseño Libre, and radiantrepublic, a blog with refreshing and inspirational finds in fashion and interior amongst others.

Dior Heaven

I can't help it. The gorgeous, layered ruffles, shiny and sheer fabrics, embroideries, luxurious fur and the soft and deep colors from the Dior Fall 2011 ready-to-wear collection have got me swooning. I can only dream about letting my hands glide over the delicate, detailed and soft fabrics during a re-see of the immaculate pieces shown during Paris Fashion Week. These images made in the showroom obviously encourage that daydream. It looks like Dior heaven there doesn't it;)? Seeing the pieces swirling around the models on the catwalk makes the daydream even more complete (video below). I can't hold my eyes of it and you? (Fake or not) the bouncing fur, long coats, hats, wavy hair and dark lips are so captivating.

New complements old in Prato - Italy

Last week I stumbled upon this stunning interior from an 18th century Italian palazzo in Prato (near Florence). It is called 'Casa Orlandi'. Deeply impressive! I've hardly ever seen modern design complementing old so beautifully. It feels like living in an enormous painting, don't you think? All the frescoes painted by Luigi Catani were restored and the Italian architect Sabrina Bignami did an magnificent job at preserving the original elements while playing with modern furniture. You can read more about it and about her on yatzer. What do you think about this mixture of modern and old?
(p.s. thank you all for the very kind comment's on my previous post
:) They made my day, even though I was really busy. It's great to read about your pleasure from flowers).
