Isabel Lopez-Quesada's charming habitat
It's been a while since my last post dedicated to one interior, so I thought it was about time. Let's take a look at Isabel Lopez-Quesda's home in Madrid. It used to be a factory, but she has done a hell of a job at transforming it into a beautiful, elegant family home. What speaks to me most are the fine structures that are to be found in every space. There are too many details to express my attraction for but one of the biggest would be the iron frames from the glass doors and the chairs, both inside and outside. And the graceful antique furniture pieces. The established designer has an astonishing portfolio, if you'd like to see more of her work.
What do you think about her villa?

Wow, she has definitely done amazing things to this place considering it was a factory! I love all of those French doors and how they open up onto the patio - the amount of light they let in has an amazing effect. Her dressing room area is so feminine + pretty too; such beautiful home! xx
ReplyDeleteLook at that patio!!! Ahh it makes me crave my home in Mexico !
ReplyDeleteHer villa is just gorgeous! I can't believe it used to be a factory. Love the french doors, the floors and that patio. What a dreamy place! xoxo

This is a great house! I love the red light in the entry way and the glass doors on the wardrobe in the bedroom. I would love to have something like that for my clothes.

The part I love the most about the interior is the great use of natural light. But I am crazy about the exterior of the house, the patio and swimming pool. xo
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and so bright! I think the part I like the most is the amazing patio and the terrace...I would love to have a small balcony, you know for eating breakfast in sunny days, read or just relax...
ReplyDeleteLove all the light! I especially like the ottoman couch in the fifth picture!
ReplyDeleteIt's expressive yet Clean-cut at the same time- A great mix! :)

ReplyDeleteDe 4e foto, een rustige sfeer en het licht. In de 5e foto, de blauwe lamp en het antieke bureautje, een leuke mix. Prachtig!

I am new visiting your blog and I am finding it to be quite lovely!
ReplyDeleteI really like the way Lopez-Quesda has used an understated, but refined approach to design. The exterior is perfect... the landscaping; the large tree balancing the patio area, the greenery-covered walls, the hedges surrounding the pool....the shutters, the lap pool, and especially that small round window!
It is simple elegance that I so desire!
Waaaaauw wat een gaaf huis!
ReplyDeletebeautiful! especially these outdoors and the entry.. Happy weekend and big hugs to you
ReplyDeleteThis is stunning! So elegant and classy! I think I want to move to Madrid and build a house there!
