London excitement

When I posted about my future trip to Paris a little while ago lots of you were so kind to share  with me your experiences and gave me tips on where to go. That made me really happy because it gives me more clear possibilities and guidance in discovering things I haven't seen before. Just like Paris, London truly has my heart. Its an amazing city with such good spirit. Being there, making great memories has never failed and expectations were never let down. At the end of this month I'm going to visit this sparkling city again together with my mom. I can't wait to get off the train, inhale the British accent and start enjoying every second there.

Thanks to Natalia from Fashioned by love, who blogged about ballet costumery by Kinder Aggugini, I bought tickets for the English National Ballet in the gorgeous London Coliseum. A friend of mine advised me to go the Galvin at Windows bar, on top of the Hilton hotel in Mayfair, for the spectacular view over the city. If you know about places, shops or anything in London one shouldn't miss out on, I would really love to hear about them...

  5. How exciting, Christel! London is such an amazing city and every time I went there I felt great. I think what I loved the most was exploring it by foot and taking in everything it had to offer. How wonderful you're going to the ballet too! xo

  9. Oh Christel, you are so lucky.
I'm also a lover of Paris and London! Some years ago a friend suggested me to go to the Columbia road market wich is held on Sunday. There are a lot of wonderful flower stands and little cute shops of vintage furniture, books and clothes. It is a little street a bit away from the center. I liked so much because you hardly see tourists so it is very orginal. Oh, I don't remember the name od an amazing little fabrics shop in the center, near Oxford street. The owner is so nice and stylish. Can you believe that she dresses like in the 40's?!

Beautiful vibrant colours inspiration. Red is always present in my idea of London city. Enjoy it!

  10. You and your mum will have a fabulous time, I'm sure of that. My friends who live in London have the names of some really good cafés (the guy is an espresso expert so he knows everything about coffee) so I'll email the address to you.

I know it may sound a bit strange but I'd visit Whole Foods in Kensington. The food is so good and the selection in the shop itself is amazing. We're still talking about some organic brownies we bought there in 2009! Hyde Park is just a short distance away ;-)

  14. Oh how exciting! London has my heart as well. And you absolutely have to go to Galvin at Windows! I went there as well and it's spectacular. I actually still get emails from them to this day. I guess I go on their mailing list somehow while I was there. :)
