Curly Raquel
Sometimes it happens that I'm totally struck by one or more captures. Yesterday I had one of those moments. A recent discovery of mine, LenoreNeverMore (a fabulous, inspirational blog with great eye-candy and owner of the most adorable pugs <3), posted two of these images from an editorial with Raquel Zimmermann that Mario Sorrenti shot for Vogue Italia March 2011. I just couldn't not make a post of this. Raquel is such a beautiful woman, but I also think it's the hard white light and shadows that caught my attention. We've been trying to replicate a few black and white portraits in the studio last two weeks in my photography course, so I'm very primed to such portraits now. These honestly are the best inspiration! P.s. I'm swooning over those bouncy curls as well...

Oh, So simple and bright. i love 80's and this look reminds me that decade. i am not a fan of curly hair but the lights and shadows in the pics are wonderful. No doubt about the beauty of R. Zimmermann. Thanks for sharing. Hope your photography course goes well. Nice Wednsday!
ReplyDeleteI actually love the curly hair. I told my daughter that we were going to the store to pick up some pink sponge rollers to make her hair all curly...at her request. Now I may have to pick up some for me too:-) Love the photography as well.
ReplyDeleteStunning captures! The photos enhance her natural beauty. By the way, Christel, i'm thinking of taking up a photography course, I've been toying with the idea for quite some time now. Ada
