With a new home on the mind the hunt for beautiful interior pieces and style ideas has been given a kick. Let me show you here a little of my classic chic preferences. If we truly were to use these influences it'd be with black accents on the feet of a sofa or chair, a big frame for artwork and maybe even a beautiful cabinet. Personally I love a glass or perspex coffee or side table, so chic. The rose colored Nate Berkus lamp is one of my favorite glamorous finds. But I wouldn't want our home to look too neat and polished, it's a cozy and comfortable yet elegant sphere we're aiming for. After all, who can resist a playing puppy or a dog on the couch;)? We need to find the right mix of styles and elements. There're thousand tips and ideas to be found, but I would love to know if you have any useful tips on that matter?
I hope you'll have a wonderful weekend!
Hi Christel! i am crazy by the mirror furniture and glass elements! I've taken a look to Eichholtz and I have found the same side table as mine (http://www.eichholtz.com/table_side_diamond-0078010042114.aspx). I use it as bed table. I bought it in a cute shop at Lugano and originally it cost 800 CHF but I paid 100 CHF (90 EUR aprox) for being a piece on display. I love to find bargains like this!
ReplyDeleteThe doble side table is pretty, pretty! have a wonderful weekend...
I forgot to say that that living room is beautiful. Yes to the velvet upholstery! Very nice post.
ReplyDeleteYou're right, Christel, there are so many inspiring ideas that you don't know where to start. But the important thing is that you know what you're aiming for. I, for one, love airy spaces, white walls, maybe one wall of a different colour to add a little edginess, herrigbone or at least hardwood floors, and well, the little elements that add flavour: a beautiful lamp, candles, a gorgeous rug. and a cabinet for the living room is a great idea. Have a lovely weekend too! xoxo
ReplyDeleteps: I LOVE that outfit!
I love all the inspiration photos. I think if you pick out pieces over time that you truly love it will come together without looking to stuffy and formal. Good luck decorating :)
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure you'll put together a beautiful and cosy home. These inspirations are simply lovely.
ReplyDeleteI love the inspirations photos you selected and I agree to you. Countless inspirations ideas, not knowing where to begin. I would start to think about what people do in the house {plus the dog} followed by the style you love. For dog friendly, we can think about the alternative ideas by selecting any glass accessories where you can place them in a safe and secure area. And I also agree to Lisa, I'm positive you can create a beautiful home! Have a good one!
