What is it that makes lilac so attractive... Do you know its secret weapon? Or maybe you're far from it? Paired with dark green, grey, blue, other pastel and cream colors, silver and gold, white and black, orange and even with red it can be a beautiful fit. Its a soft and deep color at the same time, which might explain its power wouldn't you agree? The image right below caught me several times on different blogs, what an amazing addition that lilac Louis XV chair is for the simple space! Both outfits would be very welcome to my wardrobe and that (or any other) Cate Parr watercolor painting in my home office. I consider the styling of decorations and books including a touch of lavender a great idea. All I needed was this post to ground ideas that hopefully will be set into action. How about you? ReplyDeleteLove this! The painting is gorgeous! Lilac is one of my favorite colors and you're so right that it can be beautifully paired with so many colors. I love it with grey currently cause it's such an elegant combination!

ReplyDeleteI have no idea what it is about lilac, I love it but I can't work it, it does not suit my skin tone. But I'm not giving up because I have a small hair pin, a lilac flower, that I sometimes use ;-)
