Unexpectedly beautiful
The new weekend is already so close upon us, always such a pleasing prospect. How has your week been so far? Almost exactly year ago I was taking a photo course for which we went to the industrial harbors of Antwerp on a cloudy Sunday. The goal was to capture the ominous, dark, abandoned, rusty pilotages and machines, the mysterious forbidden entrances and the industrial feeling all around. Before going I wasn't sure what to think. These gorgeous shots by Diana Melfi made me remember that I realized (when taking photos there) that these kind of places can be more beautiful then you'd expect. Especially when they're paired with fashion...

Gorgeous! I love seeing the contrast of beautiful fashions against deconstructed or industrial backdrops.
ReplyDeleteWow these are just gorgeous, Christel! I agree that the contrast is stunning. You can certainly dress up the dark side. :) xoxo
ReplyDeleteI like the black and white image but the image with the colorful graffiti and the black and silver dress is amazing. It must have been so fun to take a photography course. I have always wanted to take one.
ReplyDeletethat's quite a contrast!
ReplyDeletethe b&w photo is so beautiful, wouldn't mind having something like that on my wall
The black and white photo is gorgeous! It's so interesting how b&w is always more expressive than colour. xo
