Sophisticated hues

Hello Monday! What have you been up to this weekend? I've pleasantly read the new issues of Rue and Matchbook. Since devoting so much time to the internet I think online magazines are perfectly fulfilling nowadays needs. It's quick, more easy to save inspirations or directly search for more information on things you like, plus its visually challenging in a stimulating way. I still have a BIG heart for printed magazines too, but I do like these kind of future developments. Tell me, do you agree with me or do you look at this differently? I'm curious...
If you don't already have, do take some time to look at the online issues mentioned above. They're great! Instead of sharing their content I thought I'd share a few personally appealing inspirations today.

Colored loft happiness

If I could give this last week a theme it would be "rich with color" since looking back at my previous posts this apparently has been my biggest inspiration. Well, a little colored happiness is only good right. So here some more on this sunny, cold Saturday. This loft has got me smitten with its incredible, blissful interior. It is designed by Sabrina Linn and photographed by Michael Graydon, who both deliver stunning work. The moodboard wall below is such an inspiration! Would love to make (and have) something like that and you? Hope you have a great weekend!

A luminescence radar

Happy friday everyone! I seem to be having a radar for captures that are luminous. The game of light fascinates me as I'm sure many others. Adding that to my love for interior and fashion and today also my passion for pugs (and frenchies, my files are filled with various images of these adorable ones) a selection of images falls quickly in to place. This time it's about eclectic, worldly and glorious attractions like the Yvonne Yvonne Sac Gigi that I'm craving for (if only it would still be available), sophisticated Oscar de la Renta and Balenciaga glamour or an extraordinarily beautiful theatre.
For this weekend I recommend you two of my regular visits for fashion and interior plus decoration: Classiq and LatteLisa. They're fabulous! Also don't forget to check out all the fun (and cute cards) at Ooh La Frou Frou, where the imagination of your inner girl is highly triggered with a large post every monday.

A modern take on color block fashion

One of the happiest trends in fashion we're re-entering right now: color block. Luckily it's not so much translated into geometric shapes or graphic patterns but more into combinations of simple, plain and bold pieces. Besides flower prints I think it's a trend to look forward to since it's an instant uplift to the wardrobe and perhaps the mood as well. Plus, it's a great inspiration for making moodboards as you see here. How do you feel about this colorful trend? Are you going along with it or not? Maybe just a little?

Flawless flora

Stunned would be an understatement of how these images make me feel. I'm absolutely infatuated, obsessed and entranced! As you may already know I LOVE flowers and femininity so this is right on top of my alley. What a gorgeous shoot, perfect styling, perfect flowers and perfect lighting. You can almost feel the sun tickle your skin, imagining yourself to be in a beautiful, warm destination (which for me would be the French Riviera). Model Tiiu Kuik and photographer Anne Menke have done an amazing job for Marie Claire France February 2011... I'm so happy we're going to see a lot of flower prints in fashion again this summer. I'm aiming for at least one long flowered skirt like in the last image. How about you?

An exquisite start of the week

One of the first interior images saved on my computer long before I started blogging was the first living room below. Last week I found the portfolio of the exquisite and very famous designer of this gorgeousness, named Frank Roop. (The fresh living room I posted a few day's ago also belongs to his work). If you're not familiar with his work you should absolutely take a look at his portfolio. For me his designs are the perfect presentation of a classical and contemporary twist. I LOVE the refined details in decoration and finishings of furniture. Above all I'm crazy about his use of color, it's exactly enough and feels very bright. The designs are feminine but not too feminine. So much inspiration! What do you think?

Saturday loveliness

Time for some Saturday loveliness with soft pinks and greens. I'd love to share these inspiring images on how the beauty of nature is embraced in luxurious interiors and fashion. The harmony is just stunning in each and every image, don't you think? Have you noticed the squirrel in that tree (which tree)?

Irresistible thoughts and catching up

Had a busy, but ordinary, good day filled with studying and irresistible thoughts that only made time pass slower. And now it's already weekend again:) I'm planning on starting it catching up with watching episodes from One Three Hill. Love that show! What are your plans for the next two days? Whatever they may be I'm wishing you all a lovely weekend with this irresistible capture. If you happen to browse blogs do check out Framing Spaces and Mellow Fever, my latest discoveries. Big chance they immediately strike your attention for lot's of future visits!

Captivated by a big dose of curls

There probably are a LOT of women wishing for a big curly hairstyle every now and then like this one from model Rosanne Doosje (or for the fabulous bohemian outfits she's wearing). These images are truly captivating. First of all she is drop dead gorgeous and second she dazzles of the screen because of the black background and bright lighting. This magical shoot, which was shot for Elle Sweden October 2010 by photographer Joel Rhodin, is simplistic beauty at its best. High in my favorites of editorials! (P.s. I'm trying to not think too much about the amount of work it must have cost to make her hair look like this... If anyone has a good tip on how to get your hair a bit like this without much effort please share;)
